The bottom of the coaster has a rugged high density neoprene surface that protects table and counter tops from scratches. The neoprene foot keeps this item out of the dishwasher. Please hand wash only. There is a small raised edge on the coaster to keep condensation on the coaster and off of your table. They stack well for easy storage.
